TAAG PERFORMS ITS FIRST COMMERCIAL PASSENGER SERVICE WITH BOEING 787-9 DREAMLINER AIRCRAFT

Luanda, April 5, 2025: TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola carried out today, on the Luanda – Johannesburg – Luanda route, the first commercial passenger flight with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Dedicated aviation D2 – TEQ was recently incorporated into the Company's fleet to cover intercontinental and regional routes, marking the first time in history that the Boeing 787 model has been used in TAAG's operations.



Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, Chairman of TAAG's Executive Committee (PCE), highlighted the importance of this occasion: "The inaugural flight of TAAG's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner marks its entry into service in our general flight schedule, being an important milestone in our operation and a symbolic moment, the result of the work of our teams. This aircraft symbolizes a new era in the service provided to our passengers with a very positive impact on their experience on board.” Modernizing the fleet and raising the level of service provided to customers to levels of excellence are the Company's axes of action, also recommended in TAAG's 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.



The configuration of TAAG's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner stands out for its total capacity for 313 passengers, 16 in business class, 21 in premium economy class and 276 in economy class. This model is also characterized by factors linked to sustainability, namely the reduction of noise pollution, lower fuel consumption compared to the previous generation, greater comfort for passengers through a more spacious cabin environment, comfort and incorporated technology.



TAAG thus reaffirms its commitment to the modernization, transformation and continuous improvement of the Customer experience, reinforcing connectivity between Angola and the world with state-of-the-art aircraft.
