TAAG TRANSITION TO THE NEW LUANDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Today the company is managing the change, relocating HR to a new headquarters and transferring passenger commercial operations to a new infrastructure, namely the brand new,

Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN). This is not only a physical transition but a commitment to modernization and sustainability leveraging the quality of services along the way.

Passengers remain the Company's top priority, and all initiatives are aligned to make the customer journey exceptional. As TAAG moves forward, it opens up new horizons, ready to soar, reach new heights, and embrace the future with confidence and determination.

The transfer of operations to the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport will bring multiple benefits for passengers overall.

Key features include modern facilities,  new technologies in place, design capacity for 15 million passengers annually, leisure areas, and diverse food and service options. The new airport infrastructure has a greater capacity to absorb a growing number of passengers, automated processes, system interoperability, and streamlined procedures, with key entities/organizations located within the airport premises. TAAG is positioned as a facilitator to transform AIAAN into a strategic hub in Africa, particularly in the sub-Saharan region, offering passengers memorable travel experiences and efficient service levels.

In parallel, to develop Luanda as a hub and strengthen the Company’s strategic positioning as a link between the nations and economies, TAAG is increasing flight frequencies to the regional routes with higher market demand, namely Cape Town (South Africa), São Tomé (São Tomé and Príncipe), and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo). Thus, the company conducted a comprehensive network optimization. This means, introducing new services and fine-tuning departure/arrival times.

With these adjustments, the Company will ensure greater connectivity and continuity of flights, benefiting customers with:

  • Greater flight availability

  • Increased connecting/stopover flights between domestic, regional, and intercontinental services

  • Reduced layover times or the need for overnight stays.

Overall, TAAG is enhancing connectivity and service convenience for its passengers by optimizing the interconnection between its network services (domestic, regional, and intercontinental), with huge benefits for connecting flights. The Company remains committed to providing greater flexibility and availability while providing the utmost customer experience.
